This comes from a list of the 100 Most Important Human Traits as printed in the Investor’s Business Daily Newspaper a few year’s back.
After listing each trait, I’m going to define the key words from each trait. Your task is to think about these traits and make the appropriate changes in your life to put them into place.
1. Accepting constructive criticism
Constructive – helping to improve; promoting further development or advancement
Criticism – the act of passing judgment as to the merits of anything
2. Accepting others/individual differences
Accepting – to take or receive (something offered); receive with approval or favor
Difference – a distinguishing characteristic; distinctive quality, feature, etc.
3. Accommodating divergent viewpoints
Accommodate – to do a kindness or a favor to; oblige
Diverge – to differ in opinion, character, form, etc.
Viewpoint – an attitude of mind, or the circumstances of an individual that conduce to such an attitude
4. Accurate self-assessment
Accurate – free from error or defect; consistent with a standard, rule, or model; precise; exact
Assessment – to estimate or judge the value, character, etc., of; evaluate
5. Acknowledging personal deficiencies
Acknowledge – to admit to be real or true; recognize the existence, truth, or fact of
Deficient – lacking some element or characteristic; defective; insufficient; inadequate
